The Edit Version Properties Page

The Edit Version Properties page lists information for the currently selected version of a document.

To access the Edit Version Properties page:

Select the Details icon for a document on any item listing.
Select the Versions tab on the Document Details page.
Select a document version and then click the Edit Properties button.

What you see on this page depends on how your administrator has set up the system. The following fields are available with both Java and HTML forms (as shipped).

Field

Description

Document Number

The document number assigned to the document when it was created.

Document Name

The actual name of the document as it is stored in the library.

Last Edited At

The data and time that this version of the document was last accessed.

Size

The file size (in bytes) of this version of the document.

Status

The current status of this version of the document will be shown as Checked Out or Available.

Version

The document version number.

If you have the necessary access rights, you can modify the following fields for the currently selected version of the document.

Fields

Description

Author

The User ID for the author of this version of the document. The

table lookup button allows the user to modify the value displayed in this field.

Typist

The User ID for the last user to access this version of the document.

Comments

The user can enter information that is specific to the currently selected version of the document.

Trustees

Your DM administrator may have disabled the ability to change version properties or typist.

If you are editing a secure document and change the author or typist, the Trustees option at the bottom of the dialog box is accessible.

If you want to change the trustees of this version, select the Trustees checkbox. You can either add author and typist listed above to the trustees listing or replace the current trustees of the document.

After you have entered any required changes, click the Save button to save the new information and return to the Versions tab on the Document Details page.


	Note: Depending upon which type of database (for example, Legal, Financial, Government, or Custom) is being used by the library currently being accessed, additional information fields may also be displayed.
